Speech and Language Therapy

These help children to attain communication and learn to feed themselves.


Problems worked on:


  • Articulation disorders such as problems with making syllables or saying words incorrectly
  • Fluency disorders for example stuttering, where flow of speech is interupted by usual stops, partial word repettions etc
  • Resonance or voice disorders eg problems with pitch, volume, or quality of the voice
  • Receptive disorders eg problems with understanding or proccesing language
  • Expressive disorders eg problems with putting words together, having a limited vocabulary
  • Cognitive communication disorders eg problems with communication skills that involve memory, attention, perception, organization, regulation and problem solving.
  • Feeding disorders eg chewing, swallowing, coughing, gagging and refusing foods.
